Conduct a Workplace Risk Assessment and Safety Inspection
SOOP regularly conducts risk assessments to evaluate harmful and dangerous factors in the workplace and to manage and improve risks. The risk assessment procedure consists of selecting the object of assessment, identifying hazards and risk factors, estimating and determining the risk, establishing and implementing risk reduction measures, and recording the contents and results of the assessment. Risk assessments are categorized into initial, occasional, and periodic assessments. Periodic assessments are conducted annually and occasional assessments carried out only when necessary. Material issues identified as a result of risk assessment are reviewed by the management and the BOD for strategic management purposes.
In addition to risk assessments, SOOP conducts regular facility safety inspections at SOOP’s various workplaces, including the Pangyo headquarters, to inspect electrical safety, check the functionality of firefighting facilities, and overhaul firefighting facilities. In 2023, SOOP conducted a total of 14 independent facility safety inspections/assessments.

Efforts to Create a Safe Culture
SOOP operates a system to create a safe working environment and raise safety awareness among employees, and conducts related training. Through the internal safety and health suggestion system, any officer or employee can freely make suggestions on safety and health, and the person in charge of safety and health management conducts inspections at least twice a year, takes necessary measures, and prepares improvement plans.
In addition, to foster and educate safety personnel, practitioners in charge of safety and health, including the head of safety and health management, receive job training every two years, and an emergency drill response checklist has been developed to provide guidelines for employees. Thanks to our efforts to strengthen our safety and health system and spread a safe culture, SOOP has not had any safety accidents, including industrial accidents and material accidents, in the last five years.
Employee Wellness Assistance Program
SOOP offers a variety of health-related programs to actively support employees’ healthy lives. Through partnerships with major hospitals, SOOP provides medical checkup services to its employees and their families by covering the cost of related healthcare expenses, provides group accident insurance and flu vaccinations. Additionally SOOP operates support programs such as fertility leave, COVID-19 vaccine leave, and a professional psychological counseling program called ‘Maum Todak’ to promote mental health of its employees. The ‘Maum Todak’ program was initially launched for streamers, but has now been expanded to cover both streamers and employees. The cost of the programs is fully covered by SOOP, and the counseling records of participating employees are kept in strict confidence.
